Fleet Accident Recovery (FAR) is a claims handling service for claims that fall below your policy excess. This service caters for small through to larger corporate fleets.
We understand that handling accidents internally can be a complex and expensive process. Incorrectly managing self-insured losses can cost your business unnecessary downtime with further cost and pressure to your bottom line due to unsuccessful recoveries or third party settlements.
How can Fleet Accident Recovery benefit you?
FAR can assist in the management of files that are not covered by a motor vehicle policy, cases where damages are less than the policy excess payable, or where your fleet is self-insured. The key point to this service is FAR can save you time by managing the claim file on your behalf.
Upon receipt of a new accident file we will conduct a “ free of charge” appraisal of work required. If for whatever reason, we consider the file to be uneconomical to pursue we will advise you from the outset at no cost.
What are the service fees/additional charges?
Accident files are handled on a fee for service basis with the basic charge being $198.00 per file (GST incl). Any other costs associated with the file such as assessors/solicitors fees are still payable by you and are appointed under your approval only. Charges invoiced by our service providers in handling your file will be issued from the provider in your name (GST purposes) but sent care of Fleet Accident Recovery. FAR will record the costs against the particular file then pass the account onto you so payment can be made directly to the service provider within their credit terms.
Any major decisions incurring additional cost through service providers will be referred to you for approval prior to incurring the expense. This close contact helps you retain control over your accident files while we do the administration on your behalf.
FAR’s Outstanding Rental Debt:
For a $55.00 service fee per file (GST incl) FAR can assist in attempting recovery from hirers any outstanding hire charges on a no win fee basis via our debt collectors. With the only other charge being 15% commission of any amount our debt collectors successfully recover.
